A Tractor

Walking Sharpsburg last week I visited the "James Sharp Landing"  and wandered about the boat launch.  The private marina has this tractor so I trespassed and got these.

Not the proper John Deere colors

The counterweights on the back increase the normal force on the rear tires for more surface friction.  If placed farther back, less weight would be needed but the structure has to be beefier and nobody wants a bigger rear end.

Its raison d'etre is to pull loaded trailers out of the water so it needs the counterweights and multiple balls.  The lack of plastic panels forced the designers to make the lines flow using the steel structure and trim.  It's like this truck I found in Sharpsburg last year - nowhere near as beautiful and definitely a work vehicle, but I like the design and workmanship on both.
